This full-time position requires a self-reliant, highly motivated person able to work both independently and with a team. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday 6 am 2:30 pm. Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment and in an organized, accurate and efficient manner. The position will be responsible for shipping/receiving, order fulfillment, customer returns and inventory and supply management.  Ideal candidate is detailed-oriented, accurate, resourceful, punctual and reliable. Strong math, computer and communications skills are a must.

GOAL OF POSITION

Keep inventory organized and ready for use by assembly dept.

 FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

  • Schedules all inbound deliveries; ensures purchase order number is on all paperwork.
  • Receives product deliveries.
  • Records and checks quantity and quality of goods received.
  • Assists in resolving any discrepancies.
  • Inspects, accepts, or rejects inbound shipments.
  • Picks and packs orders per instructions in preparation for shipment.
  • Coordinates with package delivery companies (eq. UPS, Fed Ex, etc.) and freight forwarders to ship goods to their destination in a timely manner.
  • Facilitates tracking of shipments, confirms deliveries and resolves issues when they arise.
  • Assists & evaluates needs with shipping points, services, weights and freight permits and other information needs.
  • Initiates, answers and documents tracer inquiries when requested via email or phone.
  • Receives inventory and verifies that the product and quantity received is accurate and in good condition.
  • Processes in-bound and out-bound shipments including moving boxes weighing more than 50 pounds each.
  • Maintains accurate records of all items shipped and received.
  • Communicates and coordinates with appropriate buyer for product returns and repairs.
  • Properly inputs received material into computer system and forwards proper documentation to accounts payable.
  • Delivers product to appropriate personnel.
  • Assists in other departments as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet company needs.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors and managers.
  • Maintains a safe work environment according to all department procedures, federal and state regulations.
  • Follows Personal Protective Equipment safety regulations.
  • Understands and adheres to organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintains job-related confidentiality.
  • Resolves conflicts respectfully and in a timely manner and asks for assistance from appropriate supervisor or Human Resources as needed.
  • Participates actively in all staff meetings

 EDUCATION  

  • High School or above.
  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience required.

 SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Basic mathematical abilities.
  • Excellent computer skills with Microsoft and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with or without direct supervision.
  • Interact professionally with customer, vendors and all departments of the organization.
  • Experience with various shipping methods desired.
  • Prioritize work while maintaining professional composure.
  • Forklift Certification.
  • Attendance at work and punctuality is an essential function of this position.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Communicates respectfully at all times.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, kneel, squat, bend and work in hot or cold temperatures.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices and department manuals.
