Independently performs project engineering responsibilities for assigned orders on products manufactured by the Company and support efforts in general design and engineering, adhering to quality, safety and manufacturing standards.  Focus is on projects of high risk, complexity and visibility.  Requirements include a well-developed understanding of structural designs, foundation construction, site work, and prefabricated building assembly and erection.  Frequent contact and relationship management with all levels of customer management is expected during design phase. 

Coordinates the activities of all internal and external members of the Arizon design team who perform the functions from building design, submittal preparation to Code Official approval.   Is a widely recognized leader and project engineer.


  • Work with Arizon sales, engineering, finance, purchasing and project management teams to develop projects from initial concept, preliminary design, cost estimating, quoting, contract negotiation, to final design and acceptance by the owner.
  • Lead project Submittal development on products and services for approval by clients and city officials.
  • Working with the sales and project management teams, secure subcontractors for completion of project scope of work.
  • In concert with the project manager, develop subcontractors' scope of work based on product design.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for design discussions with client.
  • Manage project engineering schedule with daily to weekly communication with clients.
  • Responsible for recognizing and escalating as appropriate, client out-of-scope requests monitoring project costs while ensuring quality and schedule.
  • Hand-off projects to the project management team with a review of the contract, submittal documents and client correspondence including equipment supply, final drawings, exceptions taken, Change Orders and payments.
  • Develop new processes as necessary to ensure mission critical goals are completed; provide expertise in identifying appropriate methodologies for large-scale development efforts.
  • Ensures compliance with divisional system integration standards/guidelines. Continually reviews and critiques internal processes with the project team toward the attainment of high quality project design management, making sure processes are consistent with standards and operating procedures.
  • Consults on other development projects and is viewed as a resource assigned to the company's most critical efforts. Support corporate development needs by making time to participate on internal committees and task forces.
  • Available to Sales and Marketing regarding project activities, client feedback, design improvements, and potential new opportunities.
  • Through formal and informal training, continues development of personal and professional skills. Establishes and participates in industry and other professional networks to ensure awareness of social, economic and other trends that may affect the business or direction of the Company's initiatives, policies and programs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


BS degree, Civil Engineering preferred.

Post grad seminars or training.  Field experience at ground-up construction sites a plus.  Prefer 4-7 years experience and basic knowledge of foundation design, steel erection, building systems, controls, electrical equipment and construction equipment.  Familiarity with AutoCAD software and construction project organization skills are a must.




Proven track record as participant on large, successful projects. Requires well-developed communication skills and the ability to maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with client teams and coworkers.  Candidate must have excellent judgment, leadership and communication skills.  Must exhibit creativity and innovation in project solutions; must be broadly focused and able to manage multiple efforts concurrently.
