The Field Service and Start-Up Technician shall be responsible for the installation supervision, training, maintenance, field troubleshooting and repair of air structures. This position will coordinate site visits and field efforts with the Customer, Customer Service Manager and Customer Service Representative so that scope payment terms and logistics are confirmed. The Field Technician will perform duties at customer sites, utilize office based computer systems as well as complete and field reports as required to maintain project documentation. When the Technician is not traveling they may be required to report to the production floor to assist in the manufacturing process.


  • Provide installation supervision to contractors or owners relative to unit re-assembly and or installation
  • Provide or supervise unit start up
  • Provide customer or third party service provider training relative to unit maintenance procedures
  • Perform routine scheduled maintenance
  • Provide maintenance, service or troubleshooting services as required
  • Provide phone support to customers or third party vendors to diagnose and repair equipment
  • Coordination of travel/site visits with Customer Service Organization in order to optimize travel to nearby customer
  • Generate and file field service reports on a timely
  • Plan and conduct trips in accordance to corporate travel policy
  • Actively utilize company software and IT infrastructure to maintain project documentation and facilitate coordination with other company
  • Use fabric cutters, fabric welders, and leister heat
  • Work unsupervised on a regular
  • Drive pickup truck to/from job site
  • Physically install and/or dismantle of structure
  • Utilize hand tools, operate scissor lift, forklifts, and man basket
  • Follow company and job site safety protocols
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time with short notice
  • Work in all weather conditions


High School Diploma and Tech School Degree; Must have Construction Experience


  • Valid driver's license with minimal driving infractions
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Drug free
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the day

  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form in the safest manner possible
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork in a timely manner
  • Good communication skills with crew members and temps and the ability to live and work in a team environment
  • Previous construction experience is helpful
